Spontaneous trips to SoCal are always a great idea...

My husband & I decided to take an extremely last minute trip across the country to see his family. It was only 48 hours after spending a whole 2 days traveling, but my goodness it was worth it.

La Jolla sea lions y'all. Put them on your bucket list now, and thank me later. The view alone is just breathtaking, but these babies, I could never get enough of them.

Pretty sure this is one of those, "I CAN'T EVEN", worthy moments.

We just so happened to go during the golden hour & it wasn't just any other golden hour. Heaven heaven heaven. San Diego photographers, I envy you.

Old Town San Diego had me smiling the entire time. Not to mention my husband & I had real authentic Mexican food for the first time in MONTHS.

We also managed to squeeze in a trip to Disneyland with our nieces & nephews. Talk about magic.

Living away from family really makes us make the most of our time together. Before 48 hours would've been spent so differently, and now we cherish every single second. "Oh you're going to to grab a beer, soda, food? Let me go with you!". Being apart has made a find an appreciation for our loved ones that we took for granted before. We are so grateful to be able to have now found that appreciation & live every moment together to the fullest.
